It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We took the girls downtown yesterday. We wanted to see Seattle all decked out for Christmas. It was such a nice time (it's always a nice time when we go downtown), but of course the weather was typical Seattle, raining and cold! There is a Winter Wonderland Carousel set up and Santa rides on the carousel with you. Ryan loved it and was so excited that she was able to ride a PINK pony. Our lives revolve around pink. We then stood in line to see Santa at Nordstrom but the wait was over an hour and since it was 5:15 and the African-American Santa was coming on duty at 5:30, we decided to wait. We're going to try to go downtown again tomorrow evening and hope the wait isn't quite as long. It was fun to walk through the Market and see all the Christmas trees, flowers, and wreaths, and everyone wearing Santa hats. We even went over to the mall to watch it snow indoors. Ryan is having so much fun with all the Christmas things about and Peyton loves wearing her Santa hat. It's such a fun time of year!

Peer Pressure

As Sally's post says, I've finally given in to the peer pressure and created a blog! More than anything I guess I'll blog so people can finally see pictures of my beautiful girls since I'm so horrible at sending or emailing pictures. I hope to have a type of journal that will help me remember things since my memory is shot. I've named my blog Sparkle in Seattle because I'm repeatedly telling my sister that Seattle is just not a sparkle city. We do have hopes of changing that though!
